Important Information Concerning COVID-19 (Coronavirus) including tips and procedures.

As the world continues to contend with the current outbreak of the virus known as "COVID-19" or Coronavirus, it is important that St. Paul's Lutheran Church provide information, tips and guidelines for members and visitors so those who attend a service or event at the church know what to expect.  Please watch the video from President Matthew Harrison, president of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.

The last two Midweek lenten services will instead be a livestreamed Bible Study on the text.  Materials, if any, will be posted on the Services and Sermons page.

For Sunday, April 5th (Palm Sunday), we will have a worship service and as long as the crowd is small, we will offer the Lord's Supper.  Please be sure you are signing up (via email) for a day to come and receive the Lord's Supper.  Even though I said, in the weekly newsletter, that we will have fellowship time after the service, we will not.  We will, however, after Easter Sunday service.

As of March 13, 2020 there are no plans to cancel any services or classes.  Should this change, this page will be updated and a phone or text message and email will be sent.

For helpful information from The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, please visit and download the guidelines.

Know the symptoms of the Coronavirus!  Check out, for more information.

Read Pastor Carlson's letter concerning the virus, and how the church is affected.

Finally, please follow a common-sense approach to this virus and your interaction with other people.  Wash your hands, bring sanitizer with you, and use the provided sanitizer which is located throughout the church.  Don't let your kids go without washing, and try to keep them from putting their hands/fingers in their mouths, noses, ears or eyes.  Wipe all surfaces with cleaning wipes or bleach.  If you are ill, please do not come to church (watch the service which is livestreamed on Facebook).  If you are uncomfortable shaking hands, then kindly refrain.  Do not take offense if someone does not want to shake your hand.

Try to avoid to many situations where you are spending unnecessary time in public areas.  Get your groceries and medications, and go home.  While at church, do what you normally do (including receiving the Lord's Supper) but try not to linger or stay in the building longer than necessary.  If you are out in the public, be sure you are in a well-ventilated area and try to stay a safe distance from others, especially if you notice sniffling or sneazing.

Also, please be aware that, in accordance with state and federal rules, regular visitors, including pastors, are currently not permitted to visit residents in nursing homes (unless it's an emergency or the patient is near death).  Please do not take offense if the pastor is unable to see you or commune you.  This restriction will be lifted in due time.  In the mean time, please communicate with the church should you or a relative in a nursing facility need special care or prayer.  We will be sending cards to our shut-ins while this restriction is in place.

If you have questions or concerns, please contact St. Paul's Lutheran Church by phone, email, or online.

God's blessing be with you during this time.  Keep our church family in your prayers.
