Lent and Holy Week Schedule

St. Paul's celebrates the Season of Lent with special mid-week meals, services, and prayer.  We also meet throughout Holy Week.

Join us for Ash Wednesday where we remember our inadequacy before the Lord, relying on Him alone for our redemption.

Service starts at 6:30 PM

Our Lenten Midweek services begin on Wednesday, March 13th where we will "Behold, the Man" Jesus as He journeys the dark road to the cross where He atoned for our sins.

A Lenten Meal is shared each Wednesday night at 5:30.

The Lenten service (Compline) starts at 6:30.

Holy Week begins with Passion (Palm) Sunday.  On this day we celebrate our Lord's coming as King Eternal who reigns forever and who loves us so much that He rode humbly to Calvary to take our sin.

The Divine Service starts in the Narthex at 9:00 AM

On Maundy Thursday, April 18th we will hold a Christian Seder as a way to teach how Jesus is the Lamb of God who fulfilled the Passover, the Law, and all things for us.  We will celebrate the Lord's Supper during the meal.  Please read our Communion Statement regarding the Lord's Supper.

The Passover Seder begins at 6:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall and is the first night of the Triduum.

We meet again on Good Friday for the second day of the Triduum where we reflect upon our Lord's crucifixion.  We will use the Chief Service which includes readings, the Reproaches, hymns, and the darkening of lights.

The Good Friday Service is at 7:00 PM

The final day of the Triduum, Saturday evening, we gather for the Great Vigil of Easter.  This service, one of the oldest services in the Church, is being revived in the Lutheran congregations and is a great time to meet Jesus at the entrance of the tomb early in the day.

This service is about 2 1/2 hours long and starts outside at a bonfire.  The Lord's Supper is served.  Visitors please read our Communion Statement before the service and speak to the pastor.

The Great Vigil of Easter begins at 7:00 PM
