Sunday School season is fast approaching! Our first day of Sunday School will be Sunday, September 16. We are excited to announce a few changes this year. The children’s Sunday School classes will run during the same time as the adult Bible study from 10:30-11:15. Also, students will stay in for all parts of the church service, including the sermon. Our goal is to provide each student with items they can take home each week. In order to plan for this, please let us know if you would like to register your son and/or daughter for Sunday school. All are welcome, even if you can’t attend every week. Please drop a note in the mailbox of Sarah Marxhausen, Jean Larsen, Shanna Calander or Amy Foster with the following information: child(ren) name(s) and ages. You can also respond to this e-mail with the requested information. Your response by August 31st would be appreciated.

If you are interested in helping teach Sunday school or helping in the classroom, we are in need of 2-3 adults each week. One adult is needed to work with the older students who are going through confirmation class. The goal during this time is to review the prior week’s lesson and preview the upcoming lesson. One or two adults are also needed to work with our preschool through 5th grade students. If you don’t feel comfortable leading the lesson, this is okay. We would appreciate any extra help. The commitment is for only one week at a time. Sunday school runs from 10:30-11:15 each Sunday. This is a very user friendly curriculum! Anyone from the board is willing to help teach and collaborate for those that would like to learn more. The board of youth and education thanks you in advance for any help. Check out the sign up sheet posted on the bulletin board.

Confirmation class for Year One students (students entering the 7th Grade or who haven't taken Confirmation) begins September 4th.  Pastor Carlson will meet with the students at 6:00pm for about 50 minutes, and Kris Markshausen will meet with the 1st year students starting on Sunday, September 8th at 10:30.
